Sam Lowell is fed up with shop work. Although he is also studying medicine, he is starting to feel that he needs to find a new profession: something in the business world, where respect and financial reward might be easier to come by. Famous billionaire property magnate Alexander Keaton personally offers him the chance to hit the ground running, and Sam barely hesitates before giving up his vocation and flying across the planet to enter a world he knows nothing about. Ignoring the advice and feelings of his loved ones, particularly his girlfriend Seren, he begins to embrace a life of fast cars, jets, champagne and boardrooms. This is the life he believes he deserves. The life he and Seren deserve. But getting something you think you deserve often has its price, and learning that lesson before it's too late is something Sam Lowell doesn't realise he needs to do.
