In the future, the Earth's inhabitants have integrated their minds with nanotech. Trends, fashion, job skills, and even social protocol are downloaded directly into the brain through the usage of Update code. Society is utopian with no crime, war, or violence. All is well in Nevro City, as it always has been, until the day when one of its inhabitants is suddenly and inexplicably unable to receive the Update code.
