Once a New Yorker, now a Chicagoan. Born in a hidden gem and well-traveled, she will take you on a journey. So please, meet Victoria! Inspired by true events. The names have been changed. Some parts have been fictionalized. Enjoy! On a cold and rainy Sunday afternoon in Chicago, Victoria sits inside in her apartment. Wearing a silk robe that she received as a gift the last time she was a bridesmaid, she’s sipping chocolate-flavored red wine and reading the last few pages from a novel by her favorite author, Paulo Coelho. As soon as she is done reading the novel, she will place it on her shelf. The shelf is the centerpiece of her apartment and is full of souvenirs from trips she took in different countries. There are mementos from special events, such as reunions and bachelorette parties, a couple of gifts from old boyfriends and flings, a handmade pink mermaid candle from a festival in Chicago, and a lucky bamboo she got from her new friend Vina. Neatly placed is an old New York City metro card, as well as an old real estate license from New York. There is a framed bachelor’s degree, as well as an award she received as a recognition of an outstanding academic achievement. So, who is Victoria? Well, she is a very deep person.
