Is a majority consensus more likely to be right than an individual opinion? But an action is right because it is right: an opinion true because it is true. Popular acclaim does not make an action right, or an opinion true. Popular disapproval does not make an action wrong, or an opinion false. So would you trust your own opinion more than the majority consensus? Would you assume the consensus must be right, and submit to it? Would you seek to change the consensus, but submit until then?
